Six legendary supermodels in one funky vintage car, that’s what you’re about to see in Louis Vuitton’s Spring-Summer Louis Vuitton Ad Campaign. “I thought the idea of hot chicks and cars was really cool – and very Richard Prince,” said Louis Vuitton creative director Marc Jacobs. And that’s what the Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2008 advertising campaign was drenched in – colour, cars and supermodels.
Supermodels Stephanie Seymour and Eva Herzigova are slated to break in February magazines, followed by Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Angela Lindvall and Natalia Vodianova in the following months, each with their own candy-colored cars, outfits and handbags. “It is kind of groundbreaking to have six of the supermodels together,” said Antoine Arnault, Louis Vuitton’s director of communications, adding that, “if [Jacobs] was managing the budget, he would have even taken 12.”
The campaign was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot with Richard Prince volunteering his 1970 Dodge Challenger for the shoot. There’s also a “Making Of” video that can be seen at here: In Video: Making of Louis Vuitton Spring/Summer 2008.
