I’m not a frequent traveler but when I do travel or have overnight stays, my number one problem is packing. I mean, I pack a lot! Me and my friends used to check-in in a hotel when we go late night partying and they always laugh about how much extras I stuff in my small, old and ugly duffle. Well, I don’t care, I can’t survive an overnight without having to change at least four times. Lol..
But seriously, I don’t need to change my ‘packing style‘, my bag has got to be the one that would change for me! When the Graphites we’re released 2 weeks ago, I was going nuts over the Keepall 55 Bandoulière. I just ignored the other luggage coz I was being snobbish (again). But when I saw the Men’s Fall 08 Catalogue starred by Nicholas Duvauchelle, I felt love for the Grimaud! I thought Grimaud’s shape looks like a lunchbox; sooooo bulky! But actually if you look at Nicholas’ photo above, the Grimaud is not bulky at all! It looks really good!
This lightweight, supple travel bag in Damier Graphite canvas with a very sober city feel, is extremely practical and spacious. I think I can put in my shoes in there which is impossible with my ugly duffle bag. For extra security, Grimaud is equipped with a leather strap and padlock. And speaking of padlocks, the Grimaud sports silver brass hardware pieces that looks stunning over the dark graphite canvas. There’s also a removable leather luggage tag with the same color as the bag’s rolled leather handles.
The Damier Graphite Grimaud measures 17.7″ x 13″ x 9.6″. Available at Louis Vuitton for $1,840.
