With its timeless elegance and handsome shape, the Berkeley bag in Damier Canvas is certainly a must-have piece in every LV collector’s compendium. The bag’s name was taken after Berkeley Square, a famous town square in the West End of London, UK which is mostly a residential enclave inhabited almost exclusively by residents who are typically extremely well-to-do and some even of titled or peeraged gentry. In other words it’s London’s version of Upper East Side… which reminds me of xoxo, Gossip Girl. :p
The Berkley is a perfect day-to-day bag which is ideal for everyday essentials. It’s very elegant and practical, that’s why its preferred by many women who are stylish but are on the go. The bag features a golden ‘Louis Vuitton Inventeur‘ plate placed in a leather frame riveted into the bag’s body. It’s undeniably a picture-perfect centerpiece. Berkley comes in Damier Ebony and Damier Azur canvas with natural cowhide leather in the corners, straps and trimmings. The bag can be carried in in the wrist, the arm, or in the shoulder thanks to the adjustable leather straps. Four protective studs or feet are attached at the base of the bag for extra protection. And lastly, a patch pocket and a cellphone compartment can be found inside the bag that is lined with red microfiber lining. What more could you ask for?!
The Damier Berkeley measures 12.4″ x 8.6″ x 5.5″ and is available at Louis Vuitton for $1,600.
P.S. Berkeley Square is also the location of the most notorious haunted house in London which is at number 50, Berkeley Square. I’ve googled it up and I can’t dare read the stories coz I’m scared. Brrr..
