It may not be love at first sight but the Monogramouflage definitely lures me to the camo side. I just love the way it looks, very out of the ordinary! One of the bags from the line is the Monogramouflage Keepall 55, another re-introduction of a great classic of the House. It was made possible through the collaboration of Marc Jacobs and Takashi Murakami who is of course the one who also designed the Multicolore and other limited edition items.
In this version, the bag is covered in its entirety with the Monogramouflage canvas and trimmed in vachetta or natural cowhide leather. We all know that Keepalls have these two bands of leather that go right round the bag but this time, it’s made from black jute canvas that adds toughness to the bag’s whole look. And of course, the most interesting part of the Keepall and other Monogramouflage bags is that it has an address tag specially carrying the words Monogramoflage, Limited Edition, Takashi Murakami, Louis Vuitton. Limited edition in your face!!
Monogramouflage Keepall 55 measures 9.4″ x 12.2″ x 21.6″ and is available at Louis Vuitton for $2000.
