The Afterdark is a lovely evening clutch that was part of Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2008 collection in collaboration with artist Richard Prince. The idea behind Richard’s designs was to show the spirit of Louis Vuitton after dark, bags were referenced from vintage pulp fiction and incorporated the biker aesthetic into the unique Motard texture. And viola, the Afterdark was born.
The bag features velvet-touch suede embroidered and quilted with the monogram pattern and stripes. The lining is made from luxurious silk with an internal patch pocket for easy organization. The bag has oversized golden-trimmed eyelet handles for carrying in the hand. The open top folds over for clutch carry. With its sophisticated look, you’d never go wrong with the Afterdark.
Monogram Motard Afterdark comes in two colors; Black and Powder. It measures 3.1″ x 7.3″ x 9″, and is available at Louis Vuitton for $1,940.
This photo makes me love Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2008 even more, Angela Lindvall is so beautiful! I hope Spring/Summer 2009 won’t disappoint!
