Few months ago before I’ve started I LVOE LV, I was obsessed with the Beaubourg. I mean, totally obsessed, it’s absolutely my bag of the moment. But now, my love has sort of faded and blame it to the fascinating Monogramouflage Treillis which I doubt I would still lay my hands on. But if I only have the money, I’d still be having the Beaubourg (after I get the Treillis)!
I’m really not sure if this is the actual reason but I think the Beaubourg was made fit for college students or students in general. The bag is trendy and practical, and having enough space for a laptop to fit in, it’s definitely the bag to be. The Beaubourg comes in two styles, one in Monogram canvas, and one in Damier. Both versions are gender safe so if a girl can carry it, of course a guy could carry it too!
Beaubourg was named after a complex called Centre Georges Pompidou or locally known as the Beaubourg, a famous Parisian modern and contemporary art center. But the most interesting part of this fact is that the Renzo, a bag from the Damier Graphite collection was named after the Beaubourg’s architect Renzo Piano. Cool huh?! I wish someday Vuitton would name a bag after me.. :p
Anyways, as for the bag’s specs, Beaubourg features a wide zippered A4-sized pocket, an internal patch pocket, a cell phone pocket, and a D-ring that can be used for attaching a purse or a key holder. The bag also has an external patch pocket and can be carried on the shoulder thanks to the comfortable textile straps with the Louis Vuitton signature. And to increase the size of the bag, it has press studs on both sides made from golden brass. Beaubourg measures 14.1″ x 14.9″ x 4.7″, and is available at Louis Vuitton for $865.
