Coats were the one of the trends from Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2008 collection. They come in all shapes and colors and as Marc Jacobs described them, “We just worked with shapes. Darts, folds, and pleats. I don’t like to use these words because they sound pretentious, but if you like, last season was painterly, and this season’s sculptural.” So sculptural is the word that best describes the whole collection in general. The coats we’re created to have its own shape, with its silhouette reminiscent of the 80s glam. Check out this editorial called Coats Parade from Vogue China’s December 2008 issue which I’ve been browsing for hours now. The editorial stars Emma Pei, Liu Wen, Mo Wandan, Liu Dan and Ge Huijie, photographed by Feng Hai and features the most interesting coats from Vuitton’s Fall 2008 collection.
