As a tribute to the late American artist Stephen Sprouse who collaborated with Marc Jacobs for Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2001 show, Marc Jacobs revisited the iconic Speedy in the feminine Monogram Roses canvas designed by Sprouse back in 2000. It’s still the same ol’ Speedy but this time, its more funkier and more graphic. The bag could make a great Spring bag because of its floral motif but still has that kick of punk, streetwear chic; both worlds merged into one.
Monogram Roses Speedy 30 with tis rounded form is spacious and its large zipper closure can be secured by a golden brass padlock. Its intricate Rose motif glows in the dark, a consistent feature to almost all pieces from the Stephen Sprouse Collection. Bag measures 11.8″ x 8.3″, available at Louis Vuitton for $1,310.
