Anna Selezneva in Louis Vuitton graces the cover of Vogue Nippon’s March 2009 issue photographed by Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. African Soul eh?
I just hope Vogue Nippon chose a real African model to be its cover girl. Its really unrealistic to see a Russian model wearing African-inspired clothes with African Soul as its tagline, it just doesn’t fit at all. And here’s another thing, Vogue Nippon covers are known for it’s letter G covering the model’s faces, and now, it’s the U that’s ruining the shot. Hopefully our dear friends from Vogue Nippon will soon realize that VOGUE could be the placed at the background, while the model could take its rightful place in the foreground. Just saying.. :]
