Infiniti, the luxury car division of Japanese automaker Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has substantiated that it will unveil a brand new concept car at the Geneva Motor Show next month but the only details released so far according to Infiniti is that “the concept will come with a custom Louis Vuitton luggage set.”

Here’s the report courtesy of Motor Authority:

In the lead up to the concept’s unveiling, Infiniti design boss Shiro Nakamura was invited to one of the luxury label’s stores in Roppongi, Tokyo, where he was presented with one of the pieces from the luggage set.

For Louis Vuitton, the partnership with Infiniti is the latest in a long heritage of designing custom luggage for special vehicles and hopefully it will lead to more collaborative work between the two companies.

As for the actual concept, Infiniti states that it represents a celebration of the brand and its 20 years of history as a creator of sporty luxury vehicles. It is also described as an “exploration into the brand’s future”. The concept will make its official debut on March 3 at the Geneva event alongside the new G37 Convertible, which will be making its European debut.

Here is one of the pieces from the Louis Vuitton luggage set, a briefcase-style luggage in Damier Graphite Canvas, leather, and silvery brass hardware:

Even though the graphite luggage looks so contemporary and unique it’s a pity that LV hasn’t collaborated with Aston Martin.

  2. Bengt says:

^ I agree. LV and Aston Martin would be amazing.
I can’t help imagine a Vanquish in Damier Graphite. Awww..

    ..or the forthcoming V12 vantage!!
