As seen in Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2010 Ad Campaign starring Lara Stone, the Monogram Artsy bag embodies understated elegance, a free spirited sophistication. This hobo-style tote features an exquisite handcrafted leather handle which gives this bag a refined appeal. Its absolutely the perfect bag for those who has carefree and effortless style.

Artsy features 6 patch pockets, a long zipped pocket, a D-ring for keys and pouches and a lovely bag charm that can be used inside as a key-hanger. The bag comes in two sizes, MM (18.1″ x 12.6″ x 9.4″) and GM (19.7″ x 14.1″ x 9.8″) and is available at Louis Vuitton stores for US$1780 and US$2180 for the MM and GM respectively.

    Yo as an LV lover…do you know if the totally bag will come in the ebony colour?
    I tried to speak to the swedish store today and she just said no and gave me know explenation. Do you know anyone who might have more inside info about this. I just have to have it. Its the perfect model and I love it.

    just bought one yesterday, and I love it. I am 5ft 3in and I bought the MM, great size. The handle is very hard right now but it will soften over time. I hope.

    do you know if it is heavier than the neverfull? is it friendly? can we carry it for shopping or a little bit stiff?

      I have this bag for almost 7 months and i used it everyday and i have to admit that until now the handle is really hard and when you put heavy stuff my shoulder is in pain :( but the style? 100% gorgeous! When i am in public every women’s eyes are on it :)

    The handle is a bit stiff but I added a long strap to mine to use it as a satchel as well. That gives it versatility and looks adorable that way as well.

    I'm in love with the Artsy Monogram & the Galliera Damier Ebene. I would love to here from someone who has one already.

    The Galliera seems a bit stiff and City Chic while the Artsy seems more casual i could be going to work or out for lunch with a friend?? is this the general consensus?

    I've tried it on, the canvas is actually really really soft, and it will only get softer over time. The handle was sooooo uncomfortable, but i was assured that IT WILL SOFTEN.!!!

    I just bought the GM Artsy and I love the look, but after a day of having it on my shoulder, the handle was really uncomfortable. People have been saying that its going to soften? Anyone have any luck on that?

    I just bought mine yesterday..it's very cute..I actually like it way better than the neverfull..BUT the handle hurts too much!

    I fell in love with this bad the day i saw it,and i bought the Gm , after putting it on ,my shoulder for literally 30 minutes, i had to hold in my hands, the handle is so uncomfortable and stiff, and the bag itself is very heavy!!

    This is my fav bag. I actually find the handle pretty comfortable. It doesn't slip & stays on your shoulder. It's more comfortable than my speedy. My arm starts to hurt after couple of hours with speedy. I tend to put a lot in my purse. The MM is the perfect size. I LVOE this bag!!!

    The handel is not as bad as everyone says. It might get a little uncomfortable after 3-4 hours of carrying it. What I like about is that it stays on your shoulder and doesn't move. You can buy the speedy strap for it. You get 2 very different styles. They are about $200-$250
    .

    The GM is way too big. Looks like a luggage. The MM is a size of a large bag. They should have made a PM as well.

    It was love at first sight. When I first saw this bag I knew I had to have it. Got it 2 weeks after. This is my favorite LV bag ever. I have the MM…GM is too large.

    I bought the GM and it is on the large size. I'm 5' 6" with an average frame and it does seem large. The MM was similar to the Deauville I have but I wanted one a lil bigger. I would recommend the MM for someone unless u like very large bags. I don't think they will make a PM due to the handle length. It would basically sit right under ur arm and be uncomfortable. Just look at the measurements for comparison and decide what's best for your body type. :o )
    The handle does soften a little over time but still maintains some structure. I never found it uncomfortable at all.

    Yes it's heavier and more uncomfy to carry than the Neverfull (I have the GM) but it's still worth it though.
    I got the Arsty in MM, I find the GM a little too big for me, I'm 5'7 120lbs.

    I just got mine today from LV Portland. I just noticed when i got home that the tag says Made In USA. Is this corrrect? Why not made in France?

      Because in the us the market has gone so big that they have opened a factory there . I still prefer the label to say made in France though, it is just the way it should be! Enjoy your bag

    Just got mine yesterday and I love it! I got the MM. GM is way to big for me and no I don't find it heavy at all. Only thing, I can't find the date tag. does any1 knows if there should be a date tag embossed anywhere in the bag?

    I called the store where I bought mine and the person said that sometimes it's just not visible. I will make sure the date tag is visible on my next LV bag purchase :)

    I love the design. When down to store and tried it on my shoulder. I felt really uncomfortable with it. I have to hold the handle each time I do the "walking". Guess I rather wait for the "delightful" bag in JUNE. I guess the LV delightful has a more friendly strap.

    LV has 3 factories – France, Spain and USA, so ladies don't be alarmed. For as long as you got in from the LV store or official website, it is authentic :)

    I just bought the artsy last week in atlanta, and love it. The handle is a bit hard, but the salesman said many women have come back and told him it did soften very quickly. I think this is the coolest, chicest bag and updates every outfit. I bought the mm, which is the perfect size for me, at 5'10". Although I do tend to spend alot on bags, this is the first LV I have been unable to resist because of that very cool handle. I'm in love…..

    Right now, it only comes in Monogram Canvas.
    And by October, in all-leather Monogram Empriente.

      The number is embossed in the right pocket near the top. It is very hard to see as it is in the fabric.

    hello gals,
    i just bought my wife an artsy gm–she’s 5’8 1/2. not sure if i should exchange it for an mm because of the size? but, in comparison, the gm is only 1.6 inches longer, 1.5 inches taller, and .4 inches wider. thus, not too much of a difference in size.

    any advice from ladies who are about her height?

      There is a huge difference in size when you’re looking at them up close & personal… Bigger is better!

    I am 5′ and love the MM, however, I have been going on the site for 2 months and it has been sold out. I have called around to all the stores within a 100 mile range and they say it is sold out nation wide??? First question, would I be too short to stress over the anticipation and does anyone know why the majority of all the handbas from the LV site are out of stock?

    My hubby just bought me an Artsy MM too few days ago. I am hesitating at first between Artsy MM, Galliera GM, Delightful GM & Stressa GM

    I find Delightful GM is too big & the shape doesn’t look good when I am carrying it. Galliera GM not too bad but it was 2 years back design. My hubby said Stressa looks old on me.

    Finally I made my decision on Artsy MM which is big enough for me although I thought of getting a GM but is really too big on me even I am pregnant now with 165cm & 68kg. I really glad I bought Artsy & I just love it now!!!

    I just bought a Artsy MM at LV Ion Singapore at S$2030 which I totally love it! Size is a little big but still it charms me enough to grab it. It’s comfy and falls on my shoulder nicely. No regrets! : )

    @Nov1, 2011 Artsy has been released in Damier Azur canvas, as well as a few new colors in Monogram Empreinte.

    For the ones who don’t know the Monogram Empreinte yet:
    Calfleather, released Nov 2010, fashionable bags and wallets ( new design bags, wallet and colors @Nov1, 2011)
    Artsy Empreinte is only available in MM … plus the handdle has been improved, soft and very comfortable/flexible!
    Btw I have been told by an SA that one (Artsy)handdle will take about nine hrs to complete, how about that?
    Amazing isn’t it?!!

    For the person who was asking about Galliera: this does NOT excist in Damier Ebene canvas.
    Only in Monogram & Damier Azur;)

    Information about preparring is correct:
    Canvas & leather items are preparred in France Spain USA, even in Italy (shoes), Switserland (watches)

    Thanks to all who posted here. I purchased an Artsy from Yoogi’s Closet and because I found the serial number in the right pocket as stated – I’m sure it’a authentic. It took a while to see it – it blends well into the fabric. I’m so glad I got the real thing!

        i have an artsy made it usa and it has the code in the right pocket. I was freaking out trying to find it. Just take the lining out. It’s on the side with the LV leather square that states Made in USA. Go to the right pocket and it is embossed in the inside corner.

    I LOVE a big purse, though I am only 5’4″! I have the Artsy GM and the monogram on it is very soft(almost has a rubebr feel which was very different than how the monogram purses feel; had me wondering about it’s authenticy becaus eit was so soft) and I LOVE it! I decided on the Monogram GM because I would like the Monogram Empreinte in Ombre, so I didn’t want the same size. My Sweetie gave me the Delightful GM for my birthday in February. I travel quite a bit and I like the larger purses because I can use them like a carryon and get all the things I want immediate acess to inside. I have the iPad case inside, a travel pillow/blanket set etc. and it is very accomodating. With so many restrictions on the number of carryons, it allows me to get away with briging on a little more.

    I just bought this purse in MM from the Greece LV store yesterday! The date code is in the right pocket near the top, it is vertical…right on the seam. I love it so far! I can tell that the handle will be uncomfortable once I fit all my things in but it is worth it.
