Meet the Cosmic Blossom collection, the new collaboration between Japanese artist Takashi Murakami and Louis Vuitton. The collection features Murakami’s superflat artwork printed on Louis Vuitton pieces.
Cosmic Blossom comes in three vibrant colors (Rose, Bleu, and Violet) on leather goods, ready-to-wear and accessories. For leather goods, Louis Vuitton has developed an innovative serigraphy technique which gives the pieces a glossy effect and vibrant color. Also, the bags are emblazoned with a heritage Louis Vuitton signature similar to the one printed in Neverfull bags.
Leather goods pieces in this collection includes a pochette measuring 8.3″ x 5.1″ x 1.6″ priced at US$550 and a tote in two sizes, a PM (19.3″ x 11.4″ x 5.1″) and GM (22.8″ x 13.7″ x 7.1″), US$1240 and US$1480 for the PM and GM respectively. The collection will be available at Louis Vuitton stores on April 15th 2010.

Have the Pochette in violet and awaiting the smiley scarf. They may be vinyl but are really good quality and are a bit of fun for the summer. I have already had really nice comments about the smiley faces brightening up the dull English days.
Got the pouchette in violet too and it is really cute in person. Put my name on the list for the matching violet flip flop shoes & smiley scarf. But the scarf is very pricey!!! Not sure if I'll aquire it, but still love it!
OMG!! What there they thinking. These have got to be the ugliest bags ever and not indicative of an iconic manufacturer like LV. I've seen better looking bags at Target. Will not be part of my collection ever.

this collection is a beach collection, a leisure, casual collection.
of course it is not as elegant as the epi etc.
comparing it to target is even more ridiculous.
this collection is gorgeous. any girl going off a beach with the cosmic collection is showing her style. any women who carries her epi to the beach is dumb.
