Let me introduce the first Louis Vuitton Fall/Winter 2010 runway bags to be released: the classy Monogram Volupté. The bags in this line are made from a glamorous combination of refined materials such as the Monogram embossed coated cotton jacquard and calfskin. These materials gives the bag a luxurious texture with the leather adding a refined contrast.
Monogram Volupté consists of two pieces, the Beauté and Psyché, both having the silhouette of the iconic Speedy with the addition of a flap and bands. Learn more about them after the jump…
Measuring 14.9″ x 7.1″ x 5.9″, the Monogram Volupté Beauté has a great size perfect for everyday use or even as an evening bag. It can be opened and closed with the calfskin leather flap with a golden brass S-lock over a zip closure. It might be quite inconvenient of having to go through two closures before opening or closing the bag, but not closing the zip may resolve this issue. Inside, the bag’s lining is signed with the Louis Vuitton Inventeur, and an interior flat pocket. Beauté comes in two colors: Gris (pictured) and Bourdeaux.
The Monogram Volupté Psyché is the bigger version of Beauté. This elegant bag offers generous space, great for the office or for everyday. Like the Beauté, Psyché features a flap with S-lock, zip closure, lining signed with the Inventeur plate and an interior pocket. Unique to this bag is the addition of a strap for multi-carry options. Now the bag can be carried by hand, on the elbow, on the shoulder. Psyché measures 14.9″ x 9″ x 7.5″ and comes in two colors: Bordeaux (pictured) and Gris.
Monogram Volupte bags are exclusively available at Louis Vuitton stores for approx. US$2420 and US$3270 for the Beauté and Psyché respectively.
