Over the past few years Louis Vuitton has ventured on a journey with High Jewellery – symbolized by the exclusive LV diamond cut and dramatized by Lorenz Bäumer’s creativity. Less than a year after the launch of the Haute Joaillerie collection, L’Ame du Voyage, designed by Lorenz Bäumer, Louis Vuitton is again creating a sensation during the 25th edition of the Biennale des Antiquaires, held from September 15 to 22, 2010 in Paris.
A prestigious exhibition attracting collectors from around the world, this important event in the international art world welcomes the prestigious Parisian Maison for the first time. It is one of only seven renowned jewellers that have been invited to present their most exceptional creations in the impressive nave of the Grand Palais. Under this famous glass and metal cupola, Louis Vuitton is presenting no less than 80 pieces that will transport the visitor from the jewellery origins of the Maison – thanks to diamond cuts in the form of its Monogram flowers – right up to the familiar and faraway horizons that have always inspired it.
Louis Vuitton 23 Place Vendôme Watches and Jewelry Store
Following the launch of Louis Vuitton’s first high jewellery collection, L’Ame du Voyage, in 2009, Louis Vuitton anncounces the opening of their first store dedicated to watches and jewellery at 23 Place Vendôme: an address not only symbolic for jewellery in Paris, but also worldwide.
Yves Carcelle, Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton Malletier says, “The Louis Vuitton store at Place Vendôme is as fundamental a step for our jewellery collection, as our workshop at Asnières was for our trunks in 1859 or as our workshop in Fiesso d’Artico in Italy was for our shoes in 2000.
The 150 sq. meter store will have a window space at Place Vendôme and four windows facing Rue de la Paix.
This store, which is planned to open at the end of 2011, will allow us to become a major player in the world of fine jewellery. Our clients will have the possibility to discover the Louis Vuitton watch and jewellery universe – a universe which combines tradition and innovation and remains true to the unique know-how of our craftsmen. Our craftsmen will help and develop their expertise in our jewellery workshop situated on the top floor of the store.”
