Louis Vuitton’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection was a rich mix of influences like the turn of the 20th century Art Nouveau, 1920’s Art Deco, Orientalism/Chinoiserie, 1970’s silhouettes, color-blocking and wild animals. These inspirations, though very different, combined together perfectly and elevated decadence to artistry. The same goes with the bags for this season.
With dazzling color, shimmering texture and mesmerizing details, the Monogram Savage bags are the epitome of feminine glamour and celebrates the savoir-faire of the Louis Vuitton ateliers. These glamorous evening clutches are crafted in sumptuous Suede and Monogram canvas, which is embroidered with four tones of glittering sequins to create a vivid Tiger stripe pattern. Like it’s sister clutch, the Avant-Garde Pochette, the Savage bags also has a goatskin flap framed with a golden brass bar. Luxurious Python leather is then used as the bag’s piping. To add more glitz and glam, the heritage Louis Vuitton leather luggage tag is covered with sparkling Swarovski crystals. Lastly, Vintage-inspired golden brass details complete’s the look.
Cub measures 11″ x 3.7″ x 2.2″ and comes in two colors: Turquoise and Rose, while the bigger Tiger measuring 11″ x 6.7″ x 2.4″ is available in three colors: Turquoise, Rose and Bordeaux and comes with a slender chain/goatskin strap for shoulder carry. The Monogram Savage bags are exclusively available in Louis Vuitton stores for US$2930 and US$4050 for the Cub and the Tiger respectively.
