From capturing the Rolling Stones on tour in the early 1970s to reinventing personalities such as Demi Moore and Barak Obama for the cover of Vanity Fair Magazine, Annie Leibovitz has astounded and entertained for decades.
In addition to photographing politicians, actors and other notable figures, Leibovitz’s remarkable portraits have greatly contributed to the success of Louis Vuitton’s Core Values campaign. In 2009, she turned her lens upon herself in the company of her long-time friend, the legendary dancer and choreographer Mikhail Baryshnikov.
Further demonstrating her keen eye, the American artist designed a unique Louis Vuitton backpack for transporting photography equipment, which was auctioned at Sotheby’s in honor of the 150th anniversary of the Red Cross.
