American painter. Photographer and re-photographer. Re-appropriator of popular culture. Richard Prince doesn’t outright court controversy, but his penchant for cowboys and nurses has certainly raised some eyebrows.
For his collaboration with the House, Prince showed a softer side: the limited-edition Monogram Aquarelle collection, which incorporated his spray painting and texts but were softened by a watercolor palette. Continuing the artistic collaboration, Marc Jacobs paid homage to Prince with a runway collection based on the artist’s notorious “Nurse” paintings.
