At the heart of Louis Vuitton’s fashion-fetish Fall/Winter 2011 collection, crystallizing its central theme, is a magical object, the Lockit handbag, created in 1958 and revisited in a myriad guises – this time in winter’s warmest and coziest material: shearling. It sure is a distinctive modern twist on a Louis Vuitton icon
The Pulsion Collection consists of two pieces, the iconic Lockit an the generously sized Lockit Voyage. Both are lavishly adorned in natural high-quality and exquisitely smooth sheepskin – including the trimmings, handles and fastener, key bell, and zipper pull. Inside, a luxuriously sleek matte calfskin lines the bag, with a couple of zipped and flat pockets. These cute fluffy bags definitely make a luxurious style statement.
The Pulsion Lockit (11.8″ x 15.3″ x 7.5″) comes in three colors: Caramel, Gris Perle, and Bleu Marine, while the Lockit Voyage (22.8″ x 21.6″ x 8.3″) in one color: Bleu Marine. They’re available exclusively at Louis Vuitton stores for US$3450 and US$6100 for the Lockit and Lockit Voyage respectively.
