First Class Shoes

Louis Vuitton First Class Shoes Collection

For Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2012 show, the already elongated silhouette of the clothes was extended further by – at one end – tall hats in felt or pony skin, created in collaboration with milliner Stephen Jones, and – at the other – the vertiginously high heels of shoes inspired by girlish Mary Janes or traditional men’s Oxfords. Crafted in fabulous leathers, the shoes took the collection’s plays on proportion to cartoonish extremes with an exaggerated square toe, sometimes accentuated by a contrasting toe cap. Slim straps were fastened with large round or jewel buttons like those on the ready-to-wear, outsize welts ran all the way round the shoe and down the heel, and shiny transparent heels contrasted with matte leather.

Check out the First Class pumps – the same used for Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2012 show – and other pieces adapted from the show shoes and show bags.

First Class

Straight from Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2012 women’s fashion show, this stunning reinterpretation of the classic Mary Jane plays with exaggerated proportions – a square toe, an inner platform, a super-high heel – to spectacularly elongate the silhouette. Complementing the extravagant combination of either ostrich, calf leather, glazed calf leather, or metallic calf leather, the oversized jewel/resin buttons recall those on the ready-to-wear.

On Time

Adapted from the statement ‘First Class’ shoes seen at Louis Vuitton’s Fall/Winter 2012 women’s fashion show, this edgy reinterpretation of the classic Mary Jane plays with proportions – a square toe, an inner platform, a high heel – to elongate the silhouette. Complementing the vintage-look calf leather, the oversize buttons recall those on the ready-to-wear.
