Louis Vuitton’s first Shoe Salon will open at Saks Fifth Avenue, New York on September 17th, 2012. This first ever space dedicated to Louis Vuitton women’s shoes will be located on Saks’ famous eighth floor, 10022-SHOE, the most coveted shoe zip code in the world.
“We are excited that Saks Fifth Avenue in New York will be home to the first Louis Vuitton Shoe Salon,” said Valerie Chapoulaud-Floquet president and chief executive officer of Louis Vuitton North America. “We needed to fully express the richness and range of our shoe offering: casual, city relaxed, city elegant & evening. Saks was the perfect place to do so. Saks Fifth Avenue’s 8th floor has an unrivalled reputation, for the most fashionable assortments from the best designers and equally for its exceptional quality of service.”
Louis Vuitton worked in close collaboration with Saks Fifth Avenue to create a shoe salon that is distinctly Louis Vuitton and harmonizes with the décor of the eighth floor. Integrated within the shoe department by its curved entrance and warm color scheme, the shoe salon features light, feminine accents with a pearly lacquered finish. The salon is furnished with custom seating, display tables and carpet selections and designs by Peter Marino.
“The entry of Louis Vuitton shoes to our expanded 10022-Shoe salon will be a wonderful addition to our world class shoe offer,“ said Ron Frasch, president and chief merchant of Saks Fifth Avenue. We are proud to be the first luxury retailer in the world offering a dedicated Louis Vuitton shoe space in our New York flagship store.”

At Louis Vuitton, the shoes métier, launched in 1998, now represents one of the cornerstones of the Maison’s savoir faire expertise. There is exquisiteness to a Louis Vuitton shoe handcrafted in Fiesso, Italy, that is unmatched. To celebrate the opening of the salon, Louis Vuitton has created an exclusive limited-edition shoe reinterpreting one of its most emblematic styles: a pointed-toe pump in shimmering fabric with an iconic padlock accessory on the toe referencing the Maison’s travel heritage. This exclusive shoe is limited in quantity and available in 3 colors: a chic black with gold detal, charcoal, and a more daring dusty pink.
The shoe salon joins Louis Vuitton’s existing ready-to-wear on Saks’ third floor and leather goods on the main floor.
