On July 3, 2013, Louis Vuitton opens a pop-up store in San Francisco, CA to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the partnership with the Louis Vuitton cup and America’s Cup yacht race. Located in the America’s Cup Village at the end of Pier 27/29, the store will provide visitors with expansive niews of the sailing on San Francisco Bay, while offering the most extensive assortment and exclusive product from the Louis Vuitton Cup Collection. Designed to the standards of excellence of the Maison and boasting technical subtleties inspired by the world of sailing, the collection offers sailing enthusiasts as well as urbanites true nautical style. The store carries new ready-to-wear, leathergoods, shoes, accessories, and watch styles introduced to the collection this summer including the coveted Tambour Louis Vuitton Cup Flyback Automatic Countdown watch. Female guests will be especially thrilled to find limited edition “San Francisco” Neverfulls, beach towels, and sandals exclusively at the pop-up store.
Three decades ago, the Louis Vuitton Cup became the qualifying race that determines and prepares the challenger for the America’s Cup. This historic partnership in is an apt pairing between a trophy sought-after since 1851 and a coveted leathergoods brand since 1854, two legends bonded by a love of travel and the sea. This pivotal race will take place in July and August.
Designed with a sleek, modern sailing aesthetic accented in navy blue and white, the store will remain open until the races conclude on September 21, 2013. Guests of the Louis Vuitton pop-up store will enjoy a rare view of the races, along with live streaming coverage and behind-the-scenes video content between races. An invitation only salon on the second floor will provide a more intimate experience for clients.
