In 2011 Louis Vuitton perpetuated the know-how and creativity of the House by launching unexpected designs that combined the emblematic Monogram canvas, natural cowhide leather and, for the first time, colored calf leather. Today, Louis Vuitton enriches this Monogram collection of contemporary handbags with the Pallas. This versatile everyday bag is inspired by Greek mythology, more specifically the Goddess of wisdom, arts and craft: Pallas Athena.
Aside from its feminine design and rich functionalities, Pallas offers a strong signature in the shape of a V in colorful supple calf leather revealing secured compartments. Its distinctive shape, generous size, and subtle folds makes it a functional and chic bag great for a day in the city or for business.
Pallas features natural cowhide Toron leather handles and an adjustable and removable Monogram canvas shoulder strap. The bag has a double zip and two magnetic closures with a discreetly embossed Louis Vuitton Paris signature on the calf leather. Shiny brass metallic hardware, microfiber lining, and 2 interior pockets finish the whole look.
Pallas measures 13.4″ x 10.2″ x 4.7″ and comes in two colors Aurore and Quetsche with the addition of Havane and Safron come September 2013. For January 2014, a Black version is released. Pallas is available exclusively at Louis Vuitton stores for US$2350.
